The iron cage protects the delicate glass while adding visual interest and structural stability. Works beautifully as a standalone centerpiece or styled with dried flowers and foliage.
The "caged" method traces back to Roman times, but this beauty belongs to the Mid-Century Modern golden age (1950s–60s), when Venetian and Murano artisans revived the imprisoned glass tradition with renewed passion.
