A beautiful, visually striking pair of matching mid-to-late 19th-century Victorian hand-blown glass wine flagons / decanters. This pair features the classic "Christmas" contrast, consisting of one deep Bristol Green jug and one vibrant Cranberry Red jug.

Both pieces showcase exceptional Victorian craftsmanship, featuring elegant, hand-applied clear glass handles with a tightly twisted/braided design.
A major highlight of this particular pair is the ground and polished underside: each base features a beautifully executed, hand-cut starburst (star-cut) pattern. This extra level of finish indicates high-quality production, designed to catch the light beautifully when displayed.

Condition Report:
  • Glass Bodies & Handles: Both decanters are in excellent antique condition. The glass is clear with no internal cloudiness or water staining. The delicate braided handles are completely intact with no chips, flea bites, or cracks.
  • Stoppers: Please note that both original stoppers are missing. The top rims are smooth, clean, and free of damage.
  • Authentic Wear: The star-cut bases show light, appropriate surface wear and faint scratches consistent with over 140 years of careful display and use, confirming their antique status.
