A fabulous original Victorian music hall song sheet titled “What will Mother say?” This is by the prolific lithographic artists Concannon and Lee. The scene shows a fashionable lady and gentleman standing by the entrance of the Oxford Music hall and is both a musical advertisement and gorgeous fashion plate of the era. Highly collectible and valued for their vibrant hand coloured lithography and early. Published by B. Williams of 11 Paternoster Row, London and embossed with their stamp in the top left of the picture we know this print was produced some short time after 1861.
Professionally framed in good condition - the frame is also old, and of very good quality.
The print itself has some small age spots as would be expected of something of this age but it’s still as vibrant as the day it was published! A super quirky conversation piece.
